User association

WHAT IS SOCIAL PARTICIPATION?

Framed in Resolution 2063 of 2017, it is defined as a process of social interaction through which the citizen intervenes in the management, direction, social control and decision-making in the health sector, seeking human well-being and social development.

 

OBJETIVE

Promote social participation to promote and disseminate the culture of health and self-care, as well as promote the defense of citizens’ right to health and detect crucial issues to improve levels of satisfaction.

 

SCOPE OF APPLICATION.

USER ASSOCIATION

It is a group of users, whose objective is to ensure the quality of service and the defense of the rights and duties of all patients.

Functions
a)  Collect suggestions, recommendations, concerns and requests from users.
b)  Suggest ideas that improve the quality and opportunity in the provision of health services.
c)  Verify that requests, complaints, claims and suggestions to the IPS are responded to in a timely manner.
d)  Defend the rights of users and the fulfillment of their duties.

Formation of User Associations
Requirements:
a)  Be an active patient of the IPS

USER RIGHTS AND DUTIES

Every patient, without restrictions due to ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, language, religion or belief, culture, political or other opinions, customs, origin or social or economic condition, has the right to:

a)  To receive personalized, dignified, humane, and ethical treatment.
b)  Privacy and confidential handling of information in their medical history.
c)  To be informed of everything related to their care and to sign informed consent forms.
d)  To receive safe, high-quality care.
e)  To have clear, understandable communication.
f)  To express their wishes, needs, and decisions related to the care process.
g)  Information on economic costs and on the social security system, related to their particular situation.
h)  To evaluate the care received by different professionals in satisfaction surveys.

DUTIES:
a)  Take care of your health and that of others.
b)  Provide respectful and dignified treatment to healthcare personnel and other patients.
c)  Actively participate and take responsibility for your care and treatment process.
d)  Comply with the recommendations of healthcare personnel.
e)  Commit to informed consent.
f)  Report clearly and promptly regarding your health status, physical deterioration, and circumstances related to your social security.
g)  Take care of the facilities and equipment of the establishment.
h)  Comply with the assigned appointment time and cancel it promptly.
i)  Comply with the regulations and act in good faith towards the Health System.

 

DIFFERENTIAL APPROACH

In the IPS, the differential approach was incorporated, through which preferential care is guaranteed for all children under 5 years of age, older adults, pregnant women, people with some type of disability (hearing, motor, visual, psychosocial and intellectual).

ORAL HEALTH PROMOTION AND PREVENTION STRATEGIES

Promotion is a social practice linked to health, which focuses on achieving equity and consists of providing the necessary means to improve health and exercise self-control over it. Therefore, the concept of health as well-being transcends the idea of ​​healthy lifestyles. Given the above, Ortho Mía IPS promotes the following practices:

a)  Oral Hygiene
b)  Oral health education by life cycle stage
c)  Elements and techniques of oral hygiene (Toothbrush, Dental floss, Toothpaste, Mouthwash).
d)  Clinical remission.
